Why Work With a CPT?

The information on this site is only bits and pieces of the equation to a healthier you. I can fill in the rest.

My ultimate goal is to give you the confidence and tools you need to workout independently on a regular basis.

  1. During our first meeting I will explain the rates and you will fill out a medical history questionnaire, a release form, and possibly a Par-Q.
    1. This ensures that you are healthy enough to exercise under my supervision.
  2. We will then discuss your short and long term goals.
  3. I will take your waist circumference measurement and skinfold thickness measurements.
    1. These measurements are used as a basis to chart improvement and growth.
    2. I will also use them to calculate your lean muscle mass.
    3. From these results I can determine your goal weight through the use of specific calculations.
    4. I am not concerned with BMI, because they do not take into affect your lean muscle mass.
  4. I will calculate your daily caloric needs and share my knowledge of nutrition and exercise.
  5. Feel comfortable in the gym surroundings.
  6. I will take you through certain strength and endurance tests.
    1. This along with your body measurements will provide us with a foundation to work from.
  7. The exercise programs that I have on this site are not periodized at all.
    1. I will make sure that each exercise program allows an adequate recovery period.
  8. I will design a proper warm-up, cool-down, and stretching routine for your workouts.
  9. I will then guide you through an exercise routine that will be tailored to your specific goals and needs.
    1. Intensity, volume, and duration
  10. I will also suggest a proper aerobic routine to match your goals.
  11. Your heart rate will be taken throughout the exercise program to ensure that the proper intensity is met.
  12. Every two to three months I will take you waist circumference measurement and skin fold thickness measurements to chart your success.
    1. We will also perform the strength and endurance tests to chart your success as well.
